Affected product

This recall is for the NordicTrack iSelect Voice-controlled Adjustable Dumbbells (model number NTSAW23020). The iSelect Adjustable Dumbbells are voice-activated motorized dumbbells with adjustable weights on each handle ranging from 5 to 50 pounds. These dumbbells were sold in black and include handles, weight plates, a tablet holder and a base. If you need help identifying whether you have an iSelect product, as opposed to other NordicTrack dumbbell sets, please contact us for further assistance.

Reason for recall

The weight plates can dislodge from the handle during use, posing an impact hazard. There have been 40 reports of weight plates dislodging during use with eight resulting in injuries such as contusions and abrasions.

This recall is being conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

What do I do if I own the iSelect Dumbbells?

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled iSelect dumbbells and contact us to receive a full refund.

How will you make this right?

We will provide a refund of the purchase price to consumers who submit a valid claim with the required documentation.

How do I make a claim for a refund?

Option A – online form

The best way to make a claim is to go to www.nordictrack.com/product-recalls to fill out and submit a claim form.

Option B – over the phone

You can call us at 833-680-4348 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. MT, Monday-Friday to submit your claim directly with our customer care team.

What information or materials do I need to submit with my claim?

Please provide the following personal information when you submit your claim form:

  • Full name
  • Address
  • Email
  • Phone number

Please provide a screenshot or photograph of receipt or other proof of purchase that confirms the price that you paid for the iSelect Dumbbells. If you need assistance or if you do not have this documentation, contact iFIT directly.

I submitted my claim. What happens next?

You will need to remove the weights from the handle of your iSelect dumbbells and return the handles to us. Returning the handles will be at no cost to you. We will send you a box with prepaid shipping to send us the handles from your iSelect. After we receive your handles we will process your refund.

How do I remove the handles from the iSelect Dumbbells?

Follow the steps below:

  1. Make sure the base is connected to power.
  2. Place the dumbbells in the base.
  3. Turn the dial on the base to the lowest setting.
  4. The display will flash red and the base will adjust the number of weight plates engaged.

Important: Do not remove the handles from the base while the display is flashing red and the weight is being adjusted.

  1. Lift the handle straight up out of the base, that way any unattached weight plates remain in the base.

What do I do with the weight plates and base after I send in the handles?

You can dispose of the weight plates and base according to your local waste management procedures.
