For new—or returning—runners, it is important to start slow and build your stamina and endurance. So, if you are a beginner and aren’t sure where to start, here are two beginner treadmill workout series that may work for you.

Beginner Incline Series – In this workout series, you will have 12 treadmill hiking workouts with iFit trainer, John Peel, as he hikes with you over various trails around the beautiful Lake Tahoe. Workouts average a duration of 35 minutes if you follow the set pace, working on your endurance and hiking ability. You will be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Inspiration Point, Rubicon Point Lighthouse, Maggie’s Peak, and Squaw Valley as you get fit and healthy.

Quick Sweat Mini Series – If you are looking to work up a quick sweat and ignite your whole body, then this treadmill beginner series is for you. iFit Trainer, Nicky Holender, will guide you in the iFit studio through six different explosive treadmill workouts. Average workout duration is 35.50 minutes long, and you will be feeling it by the end of each session. 

Just remember, while your treadmill speed and incline will be automatically adjusted by your trainer during your workout, you can manually change the settings to a more comfortable level if you need it. Then once you’re ready, you can rejoin the program’s set pace––you have control!

Pick Up The Pace With These Intermediate iFit Treadmill Series

Once you feel ready to pick up the pace, there are intermediate treadmill series ready for you to try. These programs will help you build your speed, stamina, and overall strength.

Celebrate India Jogging Series – Don’t let the “jogging” in the program title fool you. iFit trainer, Swetha Devaraj, will take you through twelve different intermediate treadmill workouts. Over the average workout duration of 28:51 minutes, Swetha Devaraj will help build your aerobic base as you follow along to iconic Indian sites and structures, all while she helps improve your running technique and form.  

Adriatic Sea Interval Series – Travel to different towns along the Adriatic Sea without leaving your treadmill when you choose this treadmill workout series with iFit trainer, Kelsey Sheahan. There are sixteen different workouts in this intermediate series with an average duration of 32:54 minutes. This series is designed to be done on a weekly basis––building off each week with a tempo run, followed by a speed training day, strength workout, and a recovery run.

Challenge Yourself With Advanced iFit Treadmill Workout Series

The iFit advanced treadmill workouts aren’t for the faint of heart. If you are ready for high-intensity and longer workouts, then it is time to explore what the advanced section offers.

Shred, Sweat, And Burn Series – Straddling the line between intermediate and advanced, iFit trainer, Hannah Eden, will push you through ten workout programs with an average workout duration of 53:48 minutes. Shot in-studio, you can get pumped while you sweat buckets as Hannah Eden has you run a mix of sprint intervals, tempo runs, hill climbs, and of course, cross-training. 

Strong & Fit Series – If you want to focus on strength-building while improving your running, then you should try this workout series with iFit trainer, Paulo Barreto. Also shot in-studio, Paulo Barreto will guide you through ten workouts––engaging in cross-training, sprints, intervals, and hill climbs over an average workout duration of 57:10 minutes to tone your muscles and push you to the max.

iFit does not limit its compatibility strictly to NordicTrack treadmills. If you have other NordicTrack equipment like an elliptical, bike, rower, or even a HIIT Trainer, iFit has the workouts for you. That way, you can take advantage of this quarantine and get lean with NordicTrack and iFit.
