How This Mother Got Fit After Pregnancy With iFit

How This Mother Got Fit After Pregnancy With iFit | NordicTrack Blog

For many women, losing baby weight after giving birth to their child is far from easy. Having a newborn to take care of and adjusting to a new routine takes priority, which can be very stressful. The idea of weight loss may seem like it’s not within reach and to never be seen again. This is simply not true!

Once you have reached a certain stage after having your baby, it is safe to begin an exercise routine. Be sure to consult your medical physician to distinguish your time frame.

According to the Mayo Clinic, here are just some of the benefits of exercising after baby:

  • Promote weight loss
  • Cardiovascular improvement
  • Strengthen and tone your abs
  • Increase energy
  • Decrease stress levels
  • Enhance sleep
  • Reduce postpartum depression symptoms

Losing weight postpartum is recommended to be done gradually, allowing your body to fully heal and resume to its natural state. When you’re ready, NordicTrack and iFit are there to help and guide you every step of the way. There are certain iFit workouts that were specifically designed for new mothers to do on their NordicTrack equipment within the privacy of your own home.

iFit member, Kimberly Vitulli, is a great example. Kimberly shared her experience on the iFit community page and raved about all the great progress she made with iFit. Kimberly completed the Newcomer Weight Loss Series With Elyse Miller first, then did the Iberian Beginner Running Series with Tommy Rivers Puzey.

“I am so happy I got on my elliptical mid-June. I am ME again! I went from huffing and puffing during the beginner 15 minute workouts to running over 45 minutes every day. I LOVE the workouts and this community! We celebrate my daughters 1st birthday tomorrow and I’ll be chasing her around with no problems. Keep at it guys, I know I will!!”
