Comments: We bought the Nordic Track without trying the same model at a store, purchased from Nordic Site. Purchase was easy, found a discount code on line so the cost was good. Took us 4 hours to set up, wasn't hard to get from garage to house in pieces (husband and I). We were careful to put it together without errors. When it is running without someone walking or jogging it is quiet, as soon as I start walking, I am pretty sure it is a bit louder than some other brands that we tried in the store, when I run my husband says the springs are doing their job, and he thinks it is helping my knees. I am really glad happy we ordered the model with the hand controls I use them a lot to go up and down in speed. I will use the quick buttons a lot too, but when you are running it is nice to reach closer and adjust speed. I also like the length of the arms, when I am taking off my sweatshirt I can hold on easy for balance while still walking at a good pace. I am not sure the heart monitor works right, I think my heart rate is higher than what is reads. The 4.0 speed seems to be about 3.8 if using one at the gym, but with my nike reader it seems to be about right with distance, maybe I am just more fit. LOL! We do not have the iFit so I cannot comment on that. I would recommend this treadmill for purchase, seems like a good price under 1000 with shipping
