Comments: I have a very bad lower back, not bad enough for surgery, but the pain is complicated by diabetic neuropathy which increase pain levels. My doctor told my that I needed exercise which is hard to get when you cannot walk very far and he recommended I try a recumbent bike. So I went from store to store that sells these and tried them all out for a couple of weeks. I found that I could pedal without discomfort in my lower back to my surprise. I bought this unit and it goes together quite easily. All the screws and such are packaged so you cannot go wrong and they give you the metric allen wrenches you need to put it together. The only tricky thing you need to watch is the two screws that go on the inside neck of the riser. You don't want to drop them inside the unit when installing. Other than that it's pretty straight forward to construct and requires little effort other than bring it home and unpacking it. At least now I can exercise without pain.
