Comments: Its been about a month since I ordered my 990 pro.. So far its been very good. I do get a knock coming from the back somewhere every so often, but its not consistent, and for the most part its pretty silent. One of the big round discs on the back flywheel seems to be a little warped and doesn't sit flush, so the support tech promptly ordered me a new one. But Of course this part was "out of stock" , and still is up to this day. Apparently these parts can take up to 2 months to arrive I was told. If my machine was out of order and depending on these parts, I would be SERIOUSLY upset with this kind of service. It seems Nordictrack doesn't really put too much effort in keeping spare parts in stock. The display is OK, but as others have said is nothing special. It refreshes very slow, and there is a lot of bleeding with the dark colors at times. I was expecting some nice graphics with the IFIT live like the sample pic here shows, but I have seen nothing like that so far. The pulse readout for me seems very accurate and consistent. No issues there. The incline ramp works nice, but is very loud, and kind of sounds like its struggling to work. But, so far no issues there either. The water bottle holder is nice and big, but should be higher up, so its not an effort to reach it. The adjustable feet are nice to have as I have a sloping garage floor, and it was really tricky to get it level. If its not level you may get some noise or some additional knocking when using it. The speakers are nice and loud, but certainly nowhere near stereo quality. I compared this model to so other ellipticals, and found the 990 provided a better stride for me, as my heels didn't lift as much, which is a key point when using these ellipticals. Putting it together was not too bad, and pretty straightforward. Delivery was also good. Overall its a great value for the money, as long as you aren't waiting for parts to arrive from Norditrack's apparently "empty" parts stock room.
