Great exercise to help bad knees
By Peter (Washington DC) on Apr 26, 2009
I'm a 41 year old Marine with bad knees and I think this is a great compliment to other forms of exercise such as biking and swimming, and modern ellipticals. I wish there was one of these in my gym. I have two at home.

Best FREE Exercise in the WORLD!!
By DJ (Dallas, TX) on Jun 16, 2009
I Love this machine... I had quit using it for a while after a herniated disk in my back had bulged (not from working out), and am back to using it again. It is awesome and is highly recommended to ANYONE that would rather work out at home instead of going to the gym. I didn't have to lube it or an... (Read more)

The best exercise machine ever
By Lisa (Media, PA) on Aug 11, 2009
I have an eliptical and I go to the gym to lift weights. But I have to come home and exercise on the skier if I want to have a good heart pulse rate. Based on exercise experience and based on the fact that I know muscles very well (I am a massage therapist who knows anatomy and kinesiology)I can t... (Read more)
20 Years Daily and It's Still Great!
By ccskier (Saint George, Utah) on Sep 19, 2009
After using my "skier" for 20 minutes daily (at least 5 days a week), for 20 years, it is still in good condition, costs nothing but my energy, and is attractive and comfortable. It is actually like cross country skiing. I can also read while keeping fit at 68 years old.

I have had the classic pro for 20 years, and have used it that long. Nothing compares to this machine, no impact on your knees or ankles. Found a great place that has the replacement parts for the old skiers, called Nordic Parts, have been ordering from him for a while. This will give yu all the ... (Read more)

Answer to 'free-roaming soul'. I love the machine too. As far as finding replacement 'glide tabs'- a visit to thrift stores will usually find these skiers (many that are beat-up), and with something like a small knife/screw driver, the glides are easily removed.
brought me back into the work force!
By Bill from Wisconsin! (Madison,WI) on Jan 20, 2010
The Nordic Track classic Pro skier was responsible for rebuilding my ability to walk again, after over a 2.0 year period off of work. This was due to a past back issue with my degenerated lower discs. The only thing I added to my program was the slight edge of everyday using it,drinking water and ta... (Read more)
Great excercise machine
By Triathlete (Central Texas) on Feb 16, 2010
I have had mine for fifteen years and use it at least once a week. Excellent substitute for running since it is much easier on the knees. It should have come with a water bottle holder, since you will sweat your butt off on this thing.
great for 15 years

I got my NordicTrack Pro skier in 1995. It has worked well since then until 3 days ago. Now I have to repair it myself. They will send a new drive roller in 5-10 business days. I am charged $151. They would charge $138 more to have a repairman come, so I am going to do it myself. Interestingly... (Read more)

I've had my Nordic Trac Skier for over 17 years, and have not had any problems with it. Use it for aerobic workout
By Bill (Salem, OR) on Aug 1, 2010
30 minutes a day, six days a week and I've gone from 256 to 218 in just a little over 3 months.
I use this machine for an aerobic workout prior to using another machine for strength training. I have found the combination of the two very beneficial to losing not only pounds, but inches from my wais... (Read more)

Over the past forty years I have owned three Nordic Tracks. Great workout. I use them hard. Keeps me in good physical condition. Father and grandfather died by age 63 from coronary. I will outlive them primarily due to this machine. One suggestion: On all models I've owned, the leg tension te... (Read more)
One of the best exercise machine on the market
By Lareno04 (Jackson, MO) on Aug 13, 2010
Outstanding machine. Built to last. Easy to use and maintain. Just put it in front of your TV and watch a movie while exercising and within a day or two, you will definitely notice a difference. Definitely worth the money.
By Doylestown Dale (Doylestown, Pa) on Dec 31, 2010
I have been using this machine for almost 20 years. Yes, 20. I use it primarily in the winter. But, what a workout. I like to increase the decline as my condition and leg strength improves. DE
Best Cardio Device Out There (16-year user)
By Bob Albanys (Boston, MA) on Nov 24, 2011
The Ski workout is 95% aerobic, 5% anaerobic. (My estimate.) No pounding. Great for burning calories, keeping the "plumbing" working, strengthening the heart (tick, tick) muscle. It can be used any day (weather does not matter). No noise created. By elevating the front end and by skiing at a comfort... (Read more)

My husband and I divorced over 15 years ago and we continue share the NORDICTRACK that we bought back in the late eighties. He called and wants it back for a while, so I decided I would look up the site and see if I can afford one for me and he can keep the one we share. We both love the machine a... (Read more)
