No Artificial Hip for me
By Andy (Sarasota, FL) on Jul 5, 2010
I have a hip problem that make it impossible to go up and downstairs or carry my bags throught the airport. Runs in the family and many mostly male members have artifical hips. I purchased my first Nordictrack Skier at least 20 years ago. I might just be me, but the no impact no twisting exercise... (Read more)
Use it for aerobic workout
By Bill (Salem, OR) on Aug 1, 2010
30 minutes a day, six days a week and I've gone from 256 to 218 in just a little over 3 months.
I use this machine for an aerobic workout prior to using another machine for strength training. I have found the combination of the two very beneficial to losing not only pounds, but inches from my wais... (Read more)
One of the best exercise machine on the market
By Lareno04 (Jackson, MO) on Aug 13, 2010
Outstanding machine. Built to last. Easy to use and maintain. Just put it in front of your TV and watch a movie while exercising and within a day or two, you will definitely notice a difference. Definitely worth the money.
very happy with machine. One suggestion

Over the past forty years I have owned three Nordic Tracks. Great workout. I use them hard. Keeps me in good physical condition. Father and grandfather died by age 63 from coronary. I will outlive them primarily due to this machine. One suggestion: On all models I've owned, the leg tension te... (Read more)
A real workout
By N/A (Coshocton, Ohio) on Sep 8, 2010
My Uncle John had bragged about his NordicTrack Skier for years. In Feb. 1994 I had recontructive surgery to my right leg and ACL replacement. Prior to that I ran 5 miles a day. I was in great shape but when the physical therapist told me to do 20 min. on the NordicTrack at 5 min. I thought I was go... (Read more)
Find a used one in good condition
By BooGroove (Washington, NJ) on Sep 12, 2010
Bought one about five years ago really cheap at a garage sale. For the price, a great buy. Works the quads a little more than my treadmill and elliptical. Provides a nice change of pace...and I can actually fold it up and bring it with me when we visit my in-laws. Can't do that with the other ma... (Read more)
The best find ever.
By BigRed (Central Oregon) on Nov 30, 2010
I found a classic Nordic Track in the construction debris section of the city dump when I lived in N.E. Nevada. Nothing was wrong with it that a little cleaning and lubing didn't fix. I've used it for a couple years now, and absolutely love it. If you can't find one, buy one, it's worth every pen... (Read more)
Still going after all these years
By YoniKfarSaba (Kfar Saba, Israel) on Dec 11, 2010
I bought one of these in +/- 1990 when I lived in Rockland County NY. Used it regularly and then 1994 moved to Israel where I continued using it for a time until eventually replacing it with other equipment at a gym where I've been since. Just today I took it out of the attic and with no effort be... (Read more)

I have been using this machine for almost 20 years. Yes, 20. I use it primarily in the winter. But, what a workout. I like to increase the decline as my condition and leg strength improves. DE
Best Piece of Equipment I Own
By Livingthedream (Newton, NJ) on Jan 1, 2011
I bought mine in November 1993. This piece of equipment is guaranteed to give you the best work out in the least amount of time. It also does an awesome job of sculpting my body. My butt and thighs have always been an issue but after consistent working with this machine, I could return to wearing a ... (Read more)
You need this Incredible machine!
By NordicNow (Orange County, NY) on Jan 7, 2011
Bought this 12 years ago -- used and it is fantastic! Usually I run, but in the winter I change to Nordic Trac because too much snow and dark to run consistently, and the work out is just as good. The settings are easy to adjust to make it more challenging or to ease up. 40 minutes a few times a we... (Read more)
One of the BEST exercise equipment
By Canada Girl (Kingston, Ontario, Canada) on Jan 20, 2011
I purchased mine 20 years ago and have never regretted the purchase. The belt has been replaced once. We alternate it's use with a treadmill (the variety keeps us interested in exercising!)
After all this time
By Texalina (Dallas, tx) on Jan 24, 2011
My treadmill quit on me and it isn't in the budget to get it repaired so I dug out my 16 yr old skier. With no motorized parts, it is timeless. Haven't used it in years and that was obviously a mistake. Despite walking 4 miles a day, this just uses a different bunch of muscles! I will have to work m... (Read more)

You supply the energy, not the electric company. With my lipid profile, I would have been dead years ago if not for this machine. Well built, sturdy and a full body workout.
Coming Back to NordicTrack
By SaraJean (New Jersey) on Apr 16, 2011
I had one 1988-1999, used it 5-6 days a week and wore it out. I've since had fancy ellipticals and climbers, but I have yet to find the same comprehensive and effective cardio workout (knees can't take running) so I just ordered my second one.
By TWeis (Jackson, TN) on Jul 13, 2011
I agree with all the reviews that rave about the great workout and the durability of the equipment. But what sets it apart from other cardio equipment is the portability. It takes me 30 seconds to take apart to transport in my truck and a minute to re-assemble. To fully disassemble to fit the the ... (Read more)

I've had my Nordic track for over 20 yrs. To this day I have had no problems with it and I am still using it. This is one of the best purchases I have ever made. It is a basic piece of machinery with high end results.
I own a Nordic Track 900T
By Boyo56 (Chilliwack, BC Canada) on Nov 1, 2011
Nordic Track did stop making the ski machine. I am glad they are making them again. I own the commercial 900T. These are the ones used in the gyms. These Nordic Track ski machines are the best total body workouts ever. I hope Nordic Track brings back the commercial versions in the future.
Best Cardio Device Out There (16-year user)
By Bob Albanys (Boston, MA) on Nov 24, 2011
The Ski workout is 95% aerobic, 5% anaerobic. (My estimate.) No pounding. Great for burning calories, keeping the "plumbing" working, strengthening the heart (tick, tick) muscle. It can be used any day (weather does not matter). No noise created. By elevating the front end and by skiing at a comfort... (Read more)
Still great after 25 years!
By kulygin (Plainfield, NJ) on Jan 20, 2012
I bought my NordicTrack skier in 1986; after more than 25 years it still works perfectly, and gives me a great workout. Love it!
