3 Workouts Using Your FreeStride Trainer

The FreeStride Trainer combines three great workout machines in one – a stair stepper, the classic elliptical, and a treadmill – simply by changing your stride.

  • Stair Stepper  – Engage in a strenuous stepping workout by shortening your stride and raising your knees for high, quick steps on a FreeStride Trainer. This kind of workout is best at working your glutes, hamstrings, and quadriceps.

  • Elliptical  – To shift into an elliptical workout, you can rotate your stepping movements either to cycle counterclockwise or simply drop into a short, gliding pace. This will work your calf muscles primarily and allow you to engage in a solid, low-impact cardio workout.
  • Treadmill – Switching into treadmill-like movements on a FreeStride Trainer requires you to mix the movements of the stepper and the elliptical. Move at your normal running pace and the FreeStride Trainer you are using will accommodate your movements.

Try A 3-In-1 FreeStride Trainer Workout

Once you have a FreeStride Trainer in your home, you will find there are a number of pre-programmed workouts built into the trainer. With anywhere from 32 to 38 programs on this machine, you can stay pretty busy and activate your whole body. Also, all of these trainers are iFit® compatible, with the FS7i and FS9i even coming with a one free year of iFit® membership when you buy your FreeStride Trainer from NordicTrack.

If you are interested in trying a beginner workout which blends all three types of workouts available into a 20-minute workout, then try out the workout below:
