I bought the nordic ski machine in Aug. 2008. The bottom ski's started shrieking in November. The user's guide and nordic customer service says not to lubricate the roller so I didn't. Fought with customer service to get it fixed. They wouldn't send service man even though I have extended warranty. Finally, after many calls and complaints, they sent someone to fix it. The guy comes and all he does is lubricate the roller. Skier is fine for about 2 months. Machine starts shrieking again in February. So I take the bottom apart and lubricate the roller. Viola! The machine appears fine now. But if I had to do it again, I wouldn't buy this machine. The upkeep is way too hard. I've owned other exercise equipment and this one is too complicated for my tastes to maintain.
