It almost feels like doing lunges up in the air but it gives great support through the whole exercise. When I turn up the resistance I get winded fast! The stride ladder is really cool. I've used it with some of the built in programs and It took a few minutes to really dial in the strides but it gave me a great workout. I like that it helps me know how far to stride for different workouts. When I just jump on the machine and start exercising without a program I don't worry about the stride ladder and I use a stride that feels right. I like that I don't have to adjust anything to change the stride It adjusts autmatically to the stride length I want to use. I think it gives me as good a workout as a treadmill without any joint pain. It's fun to use.
