First time Elliptical user

Comments: I never owned an elliptical but heard so many good things about them. I did my research thoroughly and found the 990 was the best bang for my buck within my price range. Sure it has a few squeaks but foot placement on the pedals can cure that. I enjoy using the iFit cards which provide a different, progressive workout each time. I have definitely noticed my butt and hips have gotten smaller (albeit without dropping a lb- go figure). I have had this machine for almost 2 months and today I am glad I got the extended warranty! My console blacked out on me and reset (very frustrating when you're 1/2 way thru your iFit workout and have to start over again). At first I chalked it up to my iPod being plugged into the console and me changing the song-I thought it created an overload and that's why it reset. Needless to say, I turned everything on again except this time the iPod was not connected...nope- it shorted out again.My advice to you if you are looking to buy this equipment is GET AN EXTENDED WARRANTY!!!! I still enjoy the machine and am glad I bought it for all the use it has gotten, but I am even more thankful I listened to the others on here and bought the warranty!
