Be aware of these things before you buy

Comments: We just received this treadmill directly from NT. Delivery was smooth - no problems. It is big as you might expect so have some muscle handy. Running on it is very nice and smooth. We just replaced a 5-year old NT C2050 that decided it was done working. Here are some things to be aware of:1. The worst comment I have about this is that there is not a hydraulic shock that assists in the lowering of the track from the folded position as on other models. This is dangerous for two reasons: a. You have to be able to handle the entire weight coming down, and b. The bar/tension knob that holds it up is easily accessible to small children when it is folded. They can release the tread, and it WILL fall on them with nothing to stop it. I would NOT recommend folding it up if you have small children!!!!2. The sound system is not a Bose so don't expect it. It is better than wearing earphones, though.3. The side rails (where you step) feel flimsy compared to our old C2050. My guess is because it is has the stiffness adjustment4. When I did fold it the tread was not centered between the handles so much so that it hits the left handle. I have to pull the entire console to the left to get the tread to fit.5. Put aside a couple hours for assembly and have a partner. It is absolutely necessary.
