Comments: PROS: Easy to purchase online, delivery was excellent (was delivered to front porch). Once we got most of it put together, and went to the hardware store to purchase two missing lock washers and a new bolt for the improperly machined hole in one crucial part (crucial because if the bolt was not seated, the right arm and pedal thunked with each rotation), the machine worked well. It operates smoothly, and while it's gigantic (compared to machines with one drivewheel), it seems sturdy and stable. Have been using for three weeks. Cons: Too many bells and whistles that are not worth much. The speakers in the "computer"/display are so tinny that we get a better result by just propping our phone on the display and playing from there. The fan is so far away and so weak, even on high, that it doesn't cool anything. The display also lacks a countdown timer, so you can't just set it to 30 minutes and go. The characters are small, and quite far away, so can be difficult to read without glasses. The machine came with iFit, and we were offered a discounted "second year of iFit" before the machine was even delivered (along with a pricey extended service contract, of course)--but there was no access code provided with the iFit module for the FIRST year. When I emailed NordicTrack about this, I received no response, at all, ever. So don't expect much in the way of customer service. The iFit website and customer service are notoriously bad. The elliptical has to be plugged in for the diplay to work, and the socket is in the front of the machine, close to the floor. We have our machine backed up to a wall, and it would have been nice to have a socket in the rear too. You are instructed not to keep the machine plugged in lest it "reduce" the life of the computer. If you have dogs, cats, or children running around, you wouldn't want to keep it plugged in anyway because of the cord. Finally, while it is good to have adjustable stride lengths, it requires some significant arm strength to change them--you need enough space on both sides of the machine to pull HARD. Maybe it gets easier after the machine is broken in. Summary: A good solid machine with several flashy features that are of disappointing quality.
This award winning elliptical delivers an exceptionally stable, compact structure and an impressive variety of low-impact workout options. You'll enjoy the smooth, silent stride that comes from perfectly balanced flywheels, while oversized gel-lined pedals cushion each step to avoid fatigue and numbness in your feet. Find the perfect fit with an adjustable stride length.
