Comments: I have been using my Audiostrider 990 Pro Elliptical for 10-days. I will update the review in a year if I remember. 4.5 stars because of the loud fan noise and lowest 15-degree angle still has a "step" feel and would like it to be more flat. The machine itself is whisper quiet but the fan ruins it and my wife and I use it in the bedroom early mornings while the other person is sleeping. Otherwise I would have given it 5-stars. After reading poor quality reviews on other websites I felt an obligation to write that in my experience it is a top-notch machine and high quality. I built it, following the instructions exactly and taking extra time lubricating all of the washers, bushings, shafts, and rubbing parts. I tightened every bolt and screw, checking them twice. I am a mechanical engineer of 15-years and a handy-man around the house. This took me 1.5 hours to complete and required a second person for about 5-minutes on two different spots. The only improvement would be to install the monitor before the decorative cover which makes access to the bottom screws difficult. I found the craftmanship and fit to be exceptional for a mass-produced product. Yes, I could nit-pick the gaps between some of the mating parts, but nothing bad to say about the overall quality. I am very happy with this purchase! This is a quiet machine, has a lot of nice features, heart rate grips work great and quick, built in speakers work nicely and okay volume range, generous size cup holder, at full 40-degree angle it serves as a stepper as well as an elliptical, nice range of motion front to back and you can really get a good upper body workout by forcing the resistance to your arms, good low impact workout. I cannot rate the iFit because I am cheap and do not think anything is worth paying $10 per month for! The built-in program choices will keep my interest level until I'm ready for another machine in 5-years.
