Usually I run, but in the winter I change to Nordic Trac because too much snow and dark to run consistently, and the work out is just as good. The settings are easy to adjust to make it more challenging or to ease up. 40 minutes a few times a week -- and you'll be in great shape -- but consistnecy is key.
