Comments: I'm actually enjoying my new elliptical very much. I'm a "woman on a mission" and have used it on a regular basis for about a month now. However, I'm a bit disappointed in how "jerky" it feels at times. I had previously done research and found that rear drive ellipticals were supposed to be smoother than front drive and, I didn't even notice before ordering this that it's actually a "Mid Mech, or side drive. Although I am a heavy woman, I am well under the 375 capacity this machine indicates, and the machine is level. And yet, when I get up to higher RPMs, the whole center console jerks. Sometimes it even causes the speakers to cut out at higher volumes. My husband and I assembled it ourselves, and it only took about 3 hours. But I'll tell ya, it was tough - and definitely a 2 man job. A couple of times the instructions indicated "slide x piece onto y piece", which really meant, get out your mallet! And there were a couple of parts called "Pedal Axle Covers" in what I would consider very critical places, that are no more than plastic washers. The instructions say "Tip: avoid damaging the Pedal Axle Cover when tightening the screw" - translation, don't tighten the screw or they will crack! But, since this is exactly where the handles attach to the pedals, one would think, for smooth operation, these screws would need to be well tightened. Overall, I'm satisfied with my machine, but because of the "jerky" motion and fear of issues it may cause somwhere downt the road, I picked up the Extended Warranty that was offered. Although I like the smaller footprint, if I were to make one recommendation, it would be to consider going with one of the lesser expensive rear drive ellipticals, which might offer a smoother operation than the "Mid Mech".
