Excellent piece of workout equipment. I have used basically everything, and always come back to Nordic track. Gained a lot of weight in college and took off 45 pounds using the Nordic track skier. Legs and arms toned up tremendously. Blood pressure lowered as well as heart rate. Don't waste money on... (Read more)

By BGO (Austin/San Antonio, TX) on Feb 21, 2009
I purchased a used model in 1998 and started training for a 10k race. I was overweight and totally out of shape. Within 6 months I was feeling better and gaining confidence. I added a jogging routine and within 4 months I was ready to try to compete. Not against the field, but against mother natu... (Read more)
Great workout machine...
By Mala (Bergenfield, NJ) on Feb 22, 2009
I have wanted one for a long time too. I wish they would do a monthly contest again to win one. I use to own one from 1995 until a couple of years ago. I used it so much, it broke. I wished they would lower the price or just give me one. Great machine... Tara

Best fat burning workout ever
By Stuart (Tulsa, OK) on Mar 6, 2009
I've been using my skier since 1994. No question the overall best fat burning workout for my body - beats running, whatever else I do. Easy on the joints. You could do this beyond your hundreth year. How many senior runners do you see? Not many.
Still going after 22 years of use and abuse.
By Death Wish (Virginia Beach, VA & Athens, TN) on Mar 9, 2009
First used one about 1982 when a group of us bought one for use on a Navy aircraft carrier. We kept it in an unairconditioned void where it was used about 20 hours per day. Lots of sweat poured over that skier and it kept going. I was so impressed that I bought my own in 1987. I use the heck out ... (Read more)

By Steve (Atlanta, GA) on Mar 25, 2009
I've had mine for 15+ years and wish I used it more consistently. Best exercise I've found for burning calories and not stressing the knees!! I've lost 30 lbs using it in the last few months.
good machine but too much maintenance
By Morgaine (New York, NY) on Apr 9, 2009
I bought the nordic ski machine in Aug. 2008. The bottom ski's started shrieking in November. The user's guide and nordic customer service says not to lubricate the roller so I didn't. Fought with customer service to get it fixed. They wouldn't send service man even though I have extended warranty. ... (Read more)
Good service but not the right machine for me
By Timus (Powder Springs, GA) on Apr 9, 2009
I got the skier. It was pretty easy to assemble. I had a hard time using it because one of the rollers was sticking. I called customer service and they sent me another roller with no problem. Installing the new roller was pretty straight forward and took maybe 10 minutes. But I never really cau... (Read more)
Very good machine but needs some improvement
By Mr. G. (Seattle, WA) on Apr 9, 2009
In general the machine is what is expected. Acceptable workmanship all around. I have been using the machine for a long time daily 30 minutes at a good pace. I have previously a similar machine from a competitor that finally I wore out. I consider the cross country style machine the best exercis... (Read more)

I really love my skiier! It offers a great workout and helped me get into shape before downhill skiing this season. I have a history of joint problems (elbows and hips) and the skiier doesn't bother my joints at all, great non-impact exercise!
I Have Used Them All and This is the Best
By Indoorskier (Washington, DC) on Apr 11, 2009
I bought my first one in 1987 and have used one or another model ever since, at least several times a week. The unique skiing motion strengthens the core, curing a lower back problem I had, and for getting a high intensity aerobic workout in half an hour without stressing the joints, nothing else c... Simply Built, Good Customer Care
By Richard (San Diego, CA) on Apr 27, 2009
The Classic Pro is a great workout. I like the way it is simply built, meaning that I will be able to order parts and make repairs myself as the machine ages. The drive rollers make a lot of noise. I have had each one replaced. One stayed quiet, but the other over a short time has become just as noi... (Read more)
