NordicTrack®, the leading home fitness brand, announces its sponsorship in the Ragnar Relay Wasatch Back, June 22-23, 2007. With a record setting 37,000 participants this year, the Wasatch Back has become one of the largest relay races in the nation. Along with NordicTrack’s sponsorship, the company is also helping runners get in shape for the race with a new line of treadmills and ellipticals.

For the out of state runner who doesn’t have mountains in her backyard, the NordicTrack AudioStrider™ 990 Elliptical has a 30 percent incline that simulates the Utah mountains. With elevations reaching up to 8,800 feet throughout the race, it’s important that the user trains at an incline to condition her body for the strenuous mountain race.

When training for the Wasatch Back, workouts can range from 15 minutes to a few hours—the AudioStrider 990 is equipped with a MP3 port that will keep the runner motivated through the long training sessions. The user can connect her MP3 player directly to the NordicTrack console and play her favorite music with perfect clarity through two premium built-in speakers.
